1. Too large & heavy to be moved between rooms/locations
2. Millions of tons of filter waste going to landfill annually
3. Protected from harmful air indoors, what about outdoors?
In total around 80 prototypes were created, some entire builds, others of certain aspects of the design. Whether it was a filtration purifier with absolutely no design that was being sent to China for testing (to reduce copying) or a super detailed model to purely show aesthetics; each prototype had a substantial purpose. Turning that virtual design into something physical is something I have a lot of appreciation for and genuinely love.
Exploring manufacturing processes first hand & meeting the people that bring it all together was an unforgettable experience. Food was incredible too, including "inside-out fish, yummy.
The final product is a device harnessing new technologies allowing it's user to breathe cleaner air and improve health.
